Distance is calculated using an invisible laser pulse and displayed in the binoculars. You can track objects at varying distances using continuous measurements in scan mode without refocusing. This feature is especially helpful for small or moving targets. • As a backup for GPS (positioning through distance measurements) and for tracking other ships and vessels to minimise the risk of potential collision. • For identifying the position of accident victims in the water (MOB) and better assist rescue vehicles arriving by water and air, and for more precise estimates of displacement and deviation due to current, wind and sea swell.
